Nora McKeown is a multimedia journalist covering a wide range of issues for Spectrum News 1 Ohio. She is skilled at turning complex subjects into digestible video and digital content for a broad audience on a daily basis.

In addition to extensive local reporting, Nora has covered national stories, including Vice Presidential visits to Ohio and congressional races in the state. She’s also partnered on an investigation with The Marshall Project-Cleveland, and her work frequently airs on Spectrum News channels across the country.

Nora is passionate about understanding those most deeply affected by the issues she covers and works hard to build relationships and trust in the communities she serves. Local newspaper, The Euclid Observer, has recognized her approach to community-based storytelling.

Biography

A Cleveland native, Nora is a graduate of Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College. She interned at local PBS and NPR affiliate, Ideastream Public Media before launching a career in broadcast news.

She spent one year producing and reporting at CBS and NBC affiliate Northern News Now in Duluth, MN. There, she covered daily general assignment stories and frequently filled in on the anchor desk.

Nora prides herself on her ability to work as a one-man band, researching, producing, writing, shooting and editing daily news stories for television and the web.

When she’s not working, you can find Nora kickboxing, running, heading to the movies or catching up with friends.
